From Classic to Creative, Pensacola's Margarita Scene Has It All

Salt or no salt? It’s the cocktail that keeps everyone’s thirst quenched: the margarita.

This drink can take on hundreds of variations, so let’s look at some of the places you can grab a margarita in the Pensacola Bay Area.

PENSACOLA BEACH

Let’s start on Pensacola Beach. What could possibly be better than sipping on margaritas with the sound of waves crashing nearby? At Sneaky Tiki Bar you’ll find their classic margarita, but the views of the Intracoastal are nothing short of pure paradise (be sure to take a picture in front of the LOVE sign!)

If you’re looking for a wide selection of flavored margaritas, check out Shaggy’s. They have TEN different flavors ranging from strawberry to mango.

Need a little spice in your life? Head to Casino Beach Bar for their Spicy Margarita, made with fresh jalapeños.

Perdido Key

Located on the Florida/Alabama state line, The Flora-Bama is known for the infamous Bushwacker, but a margarita paired with live music is something we can get behind. If you like sushi with your margarita, head to The Jellyfish Bar. It’s a great spot to grab a rainbow roll and their Top Shelf margarita.

Downtown

Nestled behind Perfect Plain Brewing Co., Garden & Grain uses fresh lime juice to make a simple and delicious margarita. It’s so delicious it’s been named the best margarita in Pensacola for several years.

Lucy’s in the Square has a unique approach to their margarita, as they use a wine-based tequila! That’s right, no liquor in this margarita. Trust us, you won’t believe it’s not tequila.

At Juan’s Flying Burrito, you can get a big ole pitcher of margaritas. Order a pitcher (or two) for the table to share with family and friends. The House Rocks and Caliente margaritas are customer favorites.

Tequila fans, you must head over to Agave. They have an impressive tequila selection, and they’re the only bar between New Orleans and Miami to boast the entire line of Clase Azul tequila. Their El Premio margarita is not to be missed.

East/Uptown

When you think of Mediterranean food, you might not think of a margarita, but Agapi Bistro & Garden has made the exception. Their seasonal margaritas are made with homemade, fresh ingredients. Agapi has been known to make a watermelon margarita, as well as a jalapeño cucumber margarita.

At Sir Richard’s Public House, you’ll find The Ricardo on the menu, made with tequila, pineapple juice, agave, and basil. Sounds good, right? Summer in a glass if you ask us.

George Bistro & Bar is known for its impressive cocktail menu and the seasonal margarita will leave you wanting more. In the winter you might find the Spiced Pear Margarita, or the Blood Orange Margarita in the summertime on the menu.

West Pensacola

Head on over to the Oar House, and you’ll be greeted with lovely views of Bayou Chico. You can watch the boats drift by as you sip on a cold margarita and enjoy fresh seafood.
