Pensacola might be known for it's sugar-white sand beaches, but the sweet treats are equally appealing. With an abundance of flourishing local spots in every direction, it comes as no surprise that our shores attract thousands of visitors each year eager to indulge their taste buds. When it comes to our local sweet treat offerings, they never fail to impress.

Located in the heart of East Pensacola, J's Bakery and Cafe is a must visit for all your sweet treat needs. Since 1946, J's Bakery and Cafe has been delighting customers with a delectable selection of fresh doughnuts, pastries, cookies, and cakes. There is also a breakfast and lunch menu, as well as a great selection of cakes for every occasion. Delicious!
Nestled in the heart of East Pensacola, Lamonte Gelato offers the perfect sweet treat for any occasion. All of their gelato is produced on site, and they have a variety of different flavors. My personal favorite is the Stracciatella, which is vanilla and chocolate. You can enjoy your gelato in a house made waffle cone (which is delicious) or a cup if you prefer. Lamonte Gelato is great for bringing the whole family or even a date night.
Snow cone calling your name? Head over to BAM! Snoballs. Located in West Pensacola, you can stop in for a New Orleans-style snow cone. The best part? They have TONS of toppings to choose from – everything from candy toppings, to stuffed cheesecake, to stuffed ice cream. That’s right – you can get your snow cone with stuffed ice cream. This is the chill way to cool off and satisfy your sweet tooth on a hot afternoon.
The Blue Wahoos has a lot of different sweet treats to choose from but my favorite specifically would be the dole whip! This treat definitely hits the spot when it’s a hot summer night and you’re watching the Blue Wahoos Baseball game.
Serving all of Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and Perdido Key, Turtle Roll is here for the scoop! They offer ice cream as well as shaved ice – a great combination of frozen treats. Turtle Roll also has dipped soft serve ice cream in a cone… DELICIOUS.
Bubba’s Sweet Spot is the perfect stop if you’re Downtown. They’ve got homemade chocolate, fudge, candy, and ice cream. How’s that for satisfying your sweet tooth? The aroma of the fresh chocolate and ice cream as you walk in is delightful. Enjoy some ice cream while you’re there and don’t forget to take some sweet treats home with you to enjoy later!
Say cheese! Cheesecakes are baked daily at Chrisoula’s Cheesecake Shoppe. There are a dozen flavors to choose from as well as different size options. A personal sized strawberry cheesecake is my favorite – can’t go wrong with a good classic cheesecake.
This retro style diner located in East Pensacola is definitely an Instagram-worthy spot! Their old fashion milkshakes are the best aesthetic sweet treat.
The Coastal Cat Cafe is a must when in Pensacola! Not only do you get to visit with and potentially adopt a new furry friend, but you may enjoy sweet treats as well as drinks there as well! They've got several pastries, cake pops, oreo pops, and even cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.
