Japan Culture Day
Immerse yourself in the rich and vibrant culture of Japan at this year's Japan Culture Day on Saturday, November 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the International Center and Japan House, UWF. This free event promises an exciting lineup of cultural activities, workshops, performances and displays for participants of all ages. The activities will include samurai armor wearing, kimono dress-up, Japanese lesson as well as demonstrations of Eisa Okinawan taiko, Japanese dance, music, tea ceremony and martial arts. Participants can make their own “shichi-go-san” children’s celebration drawings and bookmarks to take home.
Free food and drinks will also be available.
