The Annual Military Recognition Day – February 27th

(Pensacola, FL). The Pensacola Council of the Navy League of the United States invites the community to the Annual Military Recognition Day Luncheon and Margaret Flowers Civic Award Ceremony on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center in downtown Pensacola.

Military Recognition Day honors military members who have demonstrated significant community service. The honorees are nominated by their commands. Each nominee is recognized ceremoniously, with one outstanding military community service leader selected for the prestigious Margaret Flowers Civic Award. Margaret Flowers is a retired civil service employee who left a legacy of service to both the U.S. Navy and her community.

The guest speaker is Sandy Sansing, owner of Sandy Sansing Dealerships encompassing eight auto dealerships in Pensacola and southern Alabama. The Master of Ceremonies for this event is WEAR TV 3 Sports Anchor Director, Dan Shugart.

The cost is $20.00 per person and $300 for table sponsorship. Table sponsorships pay for 5 personal guests and 5 active-duty military guests. Attire: Military: Dress Blue/Service Equivalent; Civilian: Business casual.
