Airport Updates
UPDATES & MORE FROM THE GATEWAY TO THE GULF COAST
February is a busy time here in Pensacola! With Mardi Gras behind us, Pensacon this weekend, and the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Tournament just around the corner, there's plenty of fun to be had here on the Gulf Coast.
This month, we're sharing some of the community events and activities that we are proud to be a part of here at PNS.
We're also introducing our next PUP Patrol member, and letting you know about some new nonstop flights coming later this spring.
Fly Easy!
Keeping the "Pensacola" in PNS
With thousands of passengers coming and going through PNS each day, it's important to remember that the Airport is also an employer, a hub for business, and a part of the Pensacola community.
That's why we're proud to support events like Pensacon, or to show young people interested in aviation from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida behind the scenes of the airport, and occasionally even play a role in helping families reunite.
Check out some of the work we've been doing to keep the Pensacola in PNS.
New Nonstop Flights Announced
This is the time of year when many airlines release their new (or resumed) seasonal flight schedules, and Frontier Airlines recently announced three new nonstop flights to and from Pensacola.
Beginning in May, the airline will offer flights to and from Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Philadelphia. For more information or to book your flight, visit FlyFrontier.com.
Pensacola PUP Patrol: Meet Emma
Introducing Emma, a member of our Pensacola Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUP) Patrol.
Emma is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who enjoys doing tricks and visiting people—especially children! She is sweet, gentle, and affectionate—so be sure to say hi if you see her around the airport!
Who's Ready for Sun Belt Basketball?
Catch some great basketball and enjoy fun fan activities at the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championship Tournament at the Pensacola Bay Center, March 5–11, 2024. More information and links to tickets can be found on Visit Pensacola's Sun Belt page.
Plan Ahead to Fly Easy
We know that getting you into and out of the airport as quickly as possible is important to helping you Fly Easy. You can help us make that happen.
Plan to Arrive Early.
TSA recommends that you arrive two (2) hours early for your flight. Between parking, checking in, security screening, and getting to your gate, we want you to have plenty of time to Fly Easy.
As always, please check with your airline for the latest flight updates or information, and review the list of TSA-approved items for your carry-on luggage.
No Parking and Waiting In Front of the Terminal.
If you are picking up a passenger, please do not park in front of the terminal and wait for them. That creates traffic problems in front of the airport and makes it harder for other passengers to enter or exit the airport, too.
We recommend that if your passenger is not on the sidewalk waiting for you, circle the airport or park in one of the Economy lots for up to an hour at no charge, until your passenger is ready. Remember, you can track flight arrivals on our website.
We know you have choices when you fly, so we thank you for choosing to Fly Easy with PNS.
