Airport Updates
Happy New Year from Pensacola International Airport. I hope this email finds you and yours safe and healthy.
Here at PNS, we are excited for 2022 after a record-setting travel season last year, despite the COVID pandemic and all the travel challenges it brought.
In 2021, over 2.3 million passengers came through PNS, which is a 4% increase from the record year we had in 2019 (2.2 million passengers)!
Needless to say, we are grateful for your support and loyalty over the past few years, and we hope to keep being your first choice for air travel.
We’re upgrading our "Welcome to Pensacola" mural graphics and we'll kick off our partnership with Pensacon soon. We've also announced another direct flight starting this summer, as we continue to build our position as the Gateway to the Gulf Coast.
Read on for more, and here’s to the new year!
Stir-Crazy? March Madness? We've Got You Covered!
Not everyone is crazy about basketball, but if you are, check out our nonstop flights to NCAA Tournament host cities such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth. We can get you to the game and back in just a few hours of travel!
If you’re just looking for a spring getaway, we have more than a dozen other cities just waiting for you. Check out our flights to Denver, Nashville, Charlotte, DC, or get a head start on your tan with a flight to Tampa, Orlando, or Miami.
Even more exciting is another direct flight being added this summer - to Boston, Mass. The flights, announced recently by American Airlines, will run weekly to “the Hub” starting in June. We’re excited about the opportunity to be the Gateway to the Gulf Coast for some more of our East Coast friends.
New Look, New Name...and may the Force Be With You!
You may need to change the destination on your interstellar GPS soon, because as of February 1, we will no longer be at Pensacola International Airport.
Thanks to our partnership with Pensacon, the Gulf Coast’s largest pop culture convention, we will be renamed Pensacola Intergalactic Airport for the month of February.
In addition to a fresh name, we’ve brought in a few characters from “a long time ago…in a galaxy far, far away” to welcome visitors here.
As the Gateway to the Gulf Coast, we want everyone to feel at home when they come to Pensacola, whether they’re from this planet or another!
