Visit Pensacola + Garden & Gun Host 2nd Annual Seafood Rodeo

In partnership with one of the South’s most notable publications, Visit Pensacola joined forces with Garden & Gun to host the 2nd Annual Seafood Rodeo. This eclectic gulf-to-table event invited travelers to experience The Way to Beach™ - a deep-sea fishing excursion with Pensacola anglers and chefs followed by a cook-what-you-catch fine dining experience with Pensacola’s hottest chefs and mixologists. The fishing charter and dinner were a sell-out event once again with two seatings. A special thank you to Alex McPhail with Restaurant Iron, George Lazi with George Bistro + Bar and Pearl and Horn, Darian Hernandez with Brother Fox, and Lily Hall.

Visit FL I-10 Showcase

Visit Pensacola team members Lisa Essman, Kaya Mann, and Ashley Hendrickson headed to the I-10 Florida Welcome Center for a showcase destination activation for Visit Florida. They connected with around 2,000 visitors to Florida and showed them all the cool things Pensacola has to offer.

Destinations Florida Marketing Summit

President and CEO Darien Schaefer attended the Destinations Florida Marketing Summit in Kissimmee, Florida this month. It is the largest gathering of Florida destination marketing and organization executives and industry suppliers. He learned about detailed education that can be applied immediately to bring more visitors to our destination.

Visit Florida Annual Meeting

President and CEO Darien Schaefer attended the Visit Florida Annual Meeting in St. Augustine, Florida this month. He met with industry leaders and destinations alike within the state of Florida. Key stakeholders, tourism industry professionals, government officials, and representatives from various organizations came together to discuss the state of tourism in Florida, review past achievements, and plan for future initiatives.

African American Travel Planner Tour

Visit Pensacola Sales Team members, Kaya Mann and Tia Robbins, hosted the first-ever Juneteenth tour for six travel planners who plan educational and historical group trips nationwide. They visited Fort Barrancas, the National Naval Aviation Museum, Celestine Bed & Breakfast, the Chappie James Museum, and more. They learned about the rich cultural and diverse African American history in the Pensacola Bay Area.

Military Reunion Network Summit

Visit Pensacola Sales Team members Kaya Mann and Tia Robbins traveled to Niagara Falls, New York to the Military Reunion Network Summit. There were over 40 military reunions represented at the summit. The event was designed for direct communication and discussion with industry experts from across the country who presented their current information in their area of expertise. Kaya and Tia met with about 30 military reunion planners and are excited for what's to come for our military tourism in Pensacola.
