Airport Updates
UPDATES & MORE FROM THE GATEWAY TO THE GULF COAST
Spring Break is just around the corner, and we're already seeing more visitors to the Gulf Coast come through PNS.
After a successful Pensacon and an exciting Sun Belt basketball tournament, we are getting ready for the summer travel season. We will be finishing the maintenance on the parking garage soon, and we are continuing to look for ways to enhance passenger parking at the airport.
In this month's Check-In, we share a unique story that explains how there's more than just airplanes "buzzing" around PNS. We also have a new flight update, and we want to introduce to you our next PUP Patrol member. Read on for more!
Fly Easy!
What's the Buzz at PNS?

We take pride in being the Gateway to the Gulf Coast for thousands of passengers each day. We also try to do our part to support our local community and be a good steward of the airport property. That's why, for the past several years, we've hosted beehives from the Escarosa Beekeepers Association at the back of the airport property.
In addition to making honey, these buzzy little bees are also important to our environment and our food chain. Learn more about this partnership, and some of the research that the group is doing to support our local bee population.

Pensacola PUP Patrol: Meet Lexie

Meet Lexie, another member of our Pensacola Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUP) Patrol.
Lexie is a rescued Border Collie and is also a Certified Therapy Dog. This black-and-white beauty enjoys meeting and greeting people at the Airport, but also enjoys lots of dog sports and activities too.
When you see Lexie, come by and say hi!
Plan Ahead to Fly Easy
We know that getting you into and out of the airport as quickly as possible is important to helping you Fly Easy. You can help us make that happen.
Plan to Arrive Early.
TSA recommends that you arrive two (2) hours early for your flight. Between parking, checking in, security screening, and getting to your gate, we want you to have plenty of time to Fly Easy.
As always, please check with your airline for the latest flight updates or information, and review the list of TSA-approved items for your carry-on luggage.
No Parking and Waiting In Front of the Terminal.
If you are picking up a passenger, please do not park in front of the terminal and wait for them. That creates traffic problems in front of the airport and makes it harder for other passengers to enter or exit the airport, too.
We recommend that if your passenger is not on the sidewalk waiting for you, circle the airport or park in one of the Economy lots for up to an hour at no charge, until your passenger is ready. Remember, you can track flight arrivals on our website.
We know you have choices when you fly, so we thank you for choosing to Fly Easy with PNS.
